LULABYE DAYS ON THE PORCH (TALE)

As I sit on my PORCH this morning, looking inquisitively to the heavens, I wonder how God can see all of us at the same time. Isn't it a true blessing when you can slow down and relax?  We have a couple of summer months left, so there is still some time to have fun, time to reflect on God's goodness, a time to share the Love of Christ with one another, a time to think of ways to gather the harvest before winter.  When I look in the mirror at myself, I see the glow of God on my face,  I thank Him for the simple life and life more abundantly.

I'm always reminded of His Word that says:  Those who pursue righteousness and love, will be blessed with Life, Prosperity and Honor.  I stand on God's word daily. I have come to realize that He has MADE me to love Him, to worship Him and to Praise Him forever.

This is not a forced MADE, but a sincere desire to want to Love Him.  I'm consumed, by choice, for me, its just know other way to live.  Unfortunately, I'm one of the few who feel this way, buts its OK, I'm confident that the Lord is pleased, and that there's know struggle within my soul of knowing who I belong to.

To complete my lulabye thoughts on the PORCH, all I can say is;  "I'M THANKFUL, I'M GRATEFUL for the life He has given me for today.

PORCHES ON MY MIND "TALE"

A "PORCH TALE FROM (CHJ) 7/2010

I am the 3rd child of 5 but back in the days, when I was 8, there was only 4 of us and my single mother. My mother was getting dressed for church and I had decided to go outside to play. Our porch was the holding place for us kids til my Mom was ready to go.  I asked my mom if I could go over my friend Melissa's house but she said I couldn't and don't leave the porch because we were leaving soon. Being the rebellious child that I was, I decided to leave the porch anyway. The thing was, my friend didn't exactly live next door to me, she didn't even live down the street. Melissa lived almost 30 minutes from the house (if you're walking). I went over her house as if nothing was wrong with that. We played in her backyard with a sick bird then took it in her house to show her mother.

I remember her father had pealed potatoes and was eating them raw. I told him that I had never eaten a raw potato before then he gave me a slice. I had bitten into it but didn't like it. I stayed a little longer and was probably there for about 30 minutes when I decided to leave. Melissa's mom let her walk me half way home and I walked the rest of the way. As I was approaching my back porch, my mom was just leaving out the door. She never knew I had left the PORCH. She just turned to me and my other siblings and said "Let's go".
On our way to church, I thought about Melissa and the sick bird. Then I thought about the potato Melissa's dad had given me and how bad it tasted on my tongue. I also thought about how long that walk was from Melissa's house. Lastly, I thought about what would've happened if my mom would've found out that I had left our back porch when she told me not to leave. I never once thought about what could  have happened to me while I was returning home, just think, my mom never knew I was gone. I guess that porch just made me a bit daring that day.

what does PORCHES mean to you

PORCHES ON MY MIND, is a metaphor of that place in time that you can remember quite vividly. It could be a turning place of your life. It could be a place that served as an outlet for serious issues that occurred in that moment.

PORCHES represents a holding place to express your love, your sadness, your joy, your visitation with friends and family.

PORCHES is the place where whispers are spoken, secrets and promises shared. Where plans and disappointment was made.

PORCHES is where you find romance and passion finds you. A place where you can swing and dose under the sunset or the midnight moon.

Whatever “PORCHES’ mean to you, tell your story, bless someone who didn’t know or had the opportunity to have a “PORCH“ experience.

PORCHES ON MY MIND (MY PORCH TALE)

EH’s Porch Experience:

My PORCH experience was a nuisance, the porch was so shaky that if too many got on it, surely it was ready to fall right to the ground in seconds, the guys would love to jump up and down on it in a rhythm like fashion, the creaking and tight whining noise was their background to doo whop songs, plus they got a kick out of scaring the girls into a frenzy. On extremely hot days one of the girls had the nerve to get an old fashion fan and plug it up to the nearest outlet, she would place it in an old beat up greasy car, and sneakily watched everything we did and then ran and told it.

We decided to stop gathering on the porch and everybody met and hung out at the cemetery, there we could do our thing without the PORCH snoop, till one day, I was using the bathroom back there by the graves and I saw someone standing there by me, I was scared and ran, and so I didn’t go to the cemetery anymore. The scary part about it was nobody saw him but me, so I made peace with my PORCH and vowed to my friends that that’s where you would find me.

By the way, snoop got her behind kicked, so I didn't have to worry about her tell-tail anymore, I always was known to take care of my business, who knows, that could have been snoop back there dressed like a man…..

THE GUILT OF SINS

Today, I was reading Psalms 32, starting out saying "Blessed is he who's transgressions are forgiven, and who's sins are covered.  Blessed is the man who's sin the Lord does not count against him, and to his spirit there is no deceit".  This is such an awesome promise.

In verse 3, it says "that when I kept silent my bones wasted away thru my groaning all the day long.  It is here that I pondered and meditate on the feelings of GUILT.

When we keep silent, and not confess our sins, our mind, will and emotions are sicken.  It is to our benefit to repent and ask God for His forgiveness.  His word says not only will He cover our sins, but in verse 5, "when I acknowledged my sin to the Lord and did not cover up my iniquity, I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord, then He shall forgive the GUILT of my sins.   That's powerful!  When the Lord forgives the Guilt of our sins, then we become free and joyful once again.  I thank God for His divine Mercy and Grace for keeping me on the right track.  He is my hiding place that will protect me from all trouble.  We serve a Mighty God, I know this to be so TRUE.
Confess your sins and be forgiven, the Lord will surround you with songs
of deliverance, you will be able to praise Him with a upright heart.

My Potter's House

This is one of the inspirational illustrations that was dropped in my spirit as I was preparing for the  50  dys. prayer vigil from the "Cross to Pentecost" a request given to all the Saints who seek God diligently for miraculous changes in our lives.  Every day I ask the Lord what would He have me to pray about.  Today I was praying for Divine Alignment in His word.
I can't express enough of the importance of reading God's word as often as you can. I know many have heard this from time to time, but I'm talking about really getting into the essence of His inspired scriptures.  They are so delicious, it is a feast that will fill you up that if you stay there for any length of time, you will bust wide open for sure. (this is the best as I can describe the feeling one can experience while digging deep for His truths.  Every day that He blesses me to read His profound truths, He reveals His nuggets, His wisdom, His knowledge, His thoughts, His grace, His secrets, His plan, His purpose, His love, His fruits, His attributes, His character, His discipline, His Compassion, His chastening, His righteousness, His salvation, His precepts, statues and commandments, His keys to His Kingdom now and that to come.
I must go to "My Potter's House" often, it is absolutely necessary to go there for molding and shaping me into the Godly and virtuous woman that He has predestined me to be.  I pray that whoever get a chance to read these words will hear the heartbeat of the Lord and know that through the power of the Holy Spirit you will be encouraged to read His word, but more importantly not only to read it, but to hunger and thirst for His truth and righteousness in His word like never before.

Proverb 21(21) He who follow after righteousness and love, findeth life, prosperity and honor, is my prayer perpetually, knowing that God is faithful to answer.

Today readings Psalm 85(8-13), gave keys of how to obtain land where God's Glory can dwell:
Lord show us thy mercy, and grant us thy salvation.  I will hear what God the Lord will speak:  for He will speak peace unto His people and to His saints: and when He does, let us not turn back to our folly.  Surely His salvation is near them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and Truth are met together and Righteousness and Peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.  Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.  Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of His steps. Amen
Be blessed, I welcome any comments

PRAYER FOR OUR President of the United States of America

A PRAYER FOR OUR PRESIDENT (OBAMA), LED BY MIKE WOODS, and I'm total agreement:  Lord, we pray for optimum health, mental clarity and political prosperity for President Barack Obama.  We pray that what he lacks in political 'experience' you make for with supernatural wisdom and power.  We also pray that when his enemies come upon him they will stumble and fall; and that your love will fill his heart to the end that "Your will' be done through him.  We pray mightily for his protection.  As we plead the Blood of your Son, Jesus, over him and his family.  We reverently ask you to dispatch a legion of angels to protect him and his family from all hurt, harm, and danger as he serves as the President of the United States of America.  We thank you and praise you for hearing and answering our sincere prayers on his behalf, In Jesus Precious Name, AMEN.

To the Seasoned Saint: Are you Fresh for Everything that God has to offer?

.......Today as I read, reflect and meditated on God's word, several thoughts began to flow my way.  As I ponder them one by one, my realization of my salvation brought my priorities and purpose of life in perspective.
.......Sometines we seem to be fresh for a prayer meetings or church services, but not fresh or ready to do a unannounced task.
.......Being born again of the Spirit is an unmistakable work of God, as mysterious as the wind, as surprising as God Himself.  We do not know where it begins, it is hidden away to the depths of our own personal life.  Being born again from above is a perennial, perpetual and eternal beginning, its a freshness all the time in thinking and in talking and in living the continual surprise of the life of God.  Staleness is an indication of something out of joint with God. when we say, "I must do this thing or it will never be done.  Thats the first sign of staleness.  Are we freshly born this minute or are we stale with raking our minds for something to do for Him?  Freshness does not come from obedience but from the Holy Spirit; obedience keeps us in the light as God is in the light.
........Guard jealously your relationship with God, Jesus prayed that they may be one, even as we are one, and there is absolutely nothing in between.  Keep all your life perennially open to Jesus Christ, don't pretend with Him, He knows you better than yourself.  Are you drawing your life from any other source than God Himself?  If you are depending upon anything but Him, you will never know when He is gone.
.......Being born of the Spirit means much more than we generally take it to mean.  It gives us a new vision daily and keeps us absolutely fresh for everything by the perpetual supply of the life of God. "oh Hallaleuya to His great and mighty Name"

O' Lord, breathe on me till I am one with Thee in the temper of my mind and heart and disposition.  Unto Thee do I turn from my own selfish ways.  Again, I confess how completely I'm lost without Thee.
